Overview

This course consists of didactic presentations and small group workshops to proceed pediatricians, family practitioners and other kid health clinicians up to date on a number of clinical do recommendations relevant topics to pediatric primary intendance. Some of the topics to be covered include: COVID19; screening for sexually transmitted infections; sleep disorders; childhood obesity; blazon ii diabetes; concussions; asthma; depression; gender affirming care for transgender youth; sexually transmitted infections; common skin disorders and more.

LATE FEE AND REFUND POLICY
A $25 tardily fee applies to registrations received after 5:00 p.m. ET on October 22, 2021. A treatment fee of $25 will be deducted for cancellation. Refund requests must be received past fax or e-mail by October 22, 2021. No refunds will exist fabricated thereafter. Transfer of registration to another Johns Hopkins activity in lieu of cancellation is non possible.

Objectives

  1. Hash out the latest immunization recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
  2. Recognize the indications for referring a child with a heart murmur to a pediatric cardiologist.
  3. Discuss the latest practise guidelines from the American University of Pediatrics.
  4. Place the appropriate physical examination maneuvers in assessing common sports injuries.
  5. Discuss strategies for discussing gender identity and approaches for providing gender-affirming care.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Quango for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Johns Hopkins Academy School of Medicine and Maryland Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics. The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is accredited past the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Completion of this activity and associated assessment enables the participant to earn 12 ABP MOC Office 2 points.

American Nurses Credentialing Middle (ANCC) accepts AMA PRA Category one Credit™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME.

American Academy of Nurse Practitioners National Certification Program accepts AMA PRA Category one Credit™ from organizations accredited past the ACCME.

This programme is pending approval by the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) for 12 NAPNAP contact hours, of which 2 are pharmacology (Rx) content.

National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) PAs may claim a maximum of 12 Category 1 credits for completing this activity. NCCPA accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized country medical gild.
