Chinese Beef Teriyaki on a Stick Takeout
Teriyaki Beefiness is a archetype Asian dish that is insanely popular for its salty / sweet flavour profile and tender chunks of grilled or sautéed beefiness. This Keto Teriyaki Beef on a Stick recipe has all of the flavor and none of the carbohydrate of the original, making it a great depression carb option for your grill this summer! You can employ the same sauce with chicken or shrimp too!
When I was a teenager I worked at a grocery store concatenation in CT that was at the cease of the a strip mall that had a not bad Chinese take out eating place in it. My absolute favorite thing to order in that location was the Teriyaki Beef on a Stick, which came in a foil lined red and white pocketbook. At least 3 times a week I would guild information technology on the office phone and then I had simply enough time to run down, pick it up, and eat information technology on my 10 minute afternoon break. Information technology was the all-time part of my piece of work day!
Their version was deep fried, which I may nevertheless attempt at some betoken, simply since most people feel more than comfy grilling their beef skewers I figured we'd go with that for this Keto Teriyaki Beef on a Stick. But if you desire to try deep frying them let us know how it goes!
Yous may be wondering why I didn't thread some zucchini, onions, or bell peppers on the skewers… Well I'll tell you lot! The beef on the skewers cooks rather quickly, then if you add chunks of veggies to the aforementioned skewer information technology's likely that the beef volition be overcooked by the time the veggies are grilled to your preference.
And so generally, while a skewer of meats and veggies looks actually colorful and pretty together, I prefer to skewer the meat on information technology's own (unless it's something really thin like the scallions I used here) and make separate skewers of any veggies I want to serve.
That way I tin cook both the meat and the veggies perfectly every time. #protip
I used ane pound of beefiness for this Keto Teriyaki Beef on a Stick recipe, which makes 4 servings at 4 oz per person. You can multiply this recipe easily for larger groups – simply remember 4 people per pound of beef every bit an appetizer, 2 people per pound for a primary meal.
Since this carbohydrate free Teriyaki sauce tastes cracking with everything, y'all can also substitute chicken, shrimp, or even pork in this Keto Teriyaki recipe with excellent results!
Finally, while I beloved the actress layer of season the grill gives these Keto Teriyaki Skewers, you don't need a grill or even skewers to make this recipe! You can marinate and and so saute the bite size pieces of beef (or other protein) until cooked through, then add the remaining marinade back to the pan and cook it downward for a couple of minutes to make a sauce.
For a consummate Keto repast, simply serve it over cauliflower rice or with any Asian inspired veggie side of your choice!
